The Hanging Garden Of Babylon

One of the seven wonders of the Ancient World is the Hanging garden of Babylon, beloved to have been built in the ancient city of Babylon, near present-day Baghdad,Iraq. According to historical accounts, it was constructed by King Nebuchadnezzar II as a lavish gift for his wife, who longed for the lush greenery of her homeland. The garden was renowned for their towering terraces, which were filled with a variety of plants, trees and flowering water, creating a verdant oasis in the desert.

The controversy surrounding the Hanging Garden of Babylon primarily revolves around its existence and location. While ancient texts describe the gardens in details, archaeologists have found little physical evidence to confirm their existence or pinpoint their exact location. Some historians suggest that the garden may has been exaggerated or entirely mythical, while others believe they were real but destroyed after Achaemenid invasion, leaving little physical evidence.
